What a Whirlwind of a Wednesday!

We started the day with a performance from the kindergarten students who will soon be moving into grade one next year. It is hard to believe our Grade 4's were so little a short time ago!

We worked on researching a famous Albertan and began organizing our information using a new computer program. The students were able to suggest many famous Albertans for the project. Which famous Albertan would you want to learn more about?

During our reading of The City of Ember today, we learned that some of the citizens are stealing food!

In Science we have been learning about Light & Shadow and spent some time representing  things that emit and things that reflect light using modeling clay. 

Rehearsals are well underway for our Grade 4 celebration next Friday. See information below about snacks!

Reminder:
The Grade 2’s will be hosting a Water Walk on Friday, June 14^th to educate others about various water topics and how the way we live impacts our natural environment.  This event will begin in the gymnasium and then proceed outdoors for a walk around the pond with a Grade 2 Environmental Activist. Two Grade 2 classes at a time are responsible to host, educate, share and guide everyone. 


Please note: Students will be walking around New Brighton Pond as a part of this activity.
